The platform's wording sounds dry — "inauthentic content" — but the meaning is clear: conveyor-belt AI videos without human involvement will no longer earn money.

What YouTube Specifically Banned
The platform broke down "inauthentic content" into three specific categories for which a channel loses access to advertising revenue — up to exclusion from YPP.
First — template-based, repetitive, generic videos. Clips assembled with minimal variations from AI, CGI, or ready-made templates, without a personal touch. "Tutorials" that merely recount what is already abundant on the platform are mentioned separately.
Second — disturbing and upsetting content. Videos designed to tug at viewers' emotions for the sake of views. A classic example from the update is an animal in distress followed by a "rescue." YouTube states outright: viewers find this unpleasant, and they do not return to such channels.
Third — AI personas in sensitive topics. Generated "people" discussing health, finance, legal, and medical issues. The platform wants to discourage the use of AI in this way.
