Automatic cross-posting from Telegram to MAX does not work in Telematic right now: MAX is not among the supported platforms, and we don't want to promise what the service doesn't do. There are three working paths today: move posts manually using a short checklist, build your own bot using MAX developer tools, or duplicate your feed where automation already exists, which is VK. Below we go through each option, its cost in time and money, and common mistakes.
Can you cross-post from Telegram to MAX?
Technically, yes, but not "out of the box." MAX has channels and a bot developer platform, so moving posts is possible in two forms:
- manually: copy the text and media from Telegram and publish them in a MAX channel;
- through your own bot: a program picks up new posts from Telegram and sends them to MAX via the API.
Check the official MAX developer documentation before building anything to see what a bot is allowed to do in a MAX channel and which formats and limits apply. Rules on newer platforms change more often than on established ones, and retellings of them go out of date quickly.
Ways to move posts to MAX
| Method | Time required | What breaks | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Manually | a few minutes per post | you forget, mess up formatting, skip days | 1β2 posts a day, one channel |
| Your own bot (n8n, Make, script) | an evening to build + ongoing maintenance | tokens, formatting, duplicates, failures without notification | people with technical skills and time to fix things |
| Telematic | n/a | MAX is not supported | suitable only for Telegram, VK and YouTube |
The last row is honest: if you specifically need MAX and specifically automatic, the service does not cover that today. It does cover Telegram and VK, which is described below.
How to duplicate posts to MAX manually without losing anything
If you have few posts, manual transfer is a reasonable option. The key is to make it a habit rather than a feat.
- Pick one time of day for the transfer, for example the evening. That way you move posts in a batch instead of getting distracted after every post in Telegram.
- Don't move everything. Short reactions to news, polls and reposts from other channels often aren't needed on MAX. Keep the useful posts: instructions, analyses, announcements.
- Check the formatting. Bold, italics, links and spoilers may break or display differently when copied. Open the post on MAX after publishing it.
- Re-upload media from the original file rather than re-saving it from Telegram, so you lose less quality.
- Replace links to Telegram if they point to your own channel: MAX readers need a link that works for them.
- Keep a simple log of what you've moved, at least a table of "date β topic." This protects against duplicates and gaps when you don't transfer every day.
What to consider if you build the bot yourself
Building your own bot suits people who are ready not only to assemble the setup but also to maintain it. Typical points where it breaks:
- Duplicates. The bot restarts and resends old posts. You need to track what has already been sent, by post ID or by a hash of the text. We covered this in detail in the article how to avoid duplicating posts with autoposting.
- Formatting. Telegram markup and MAX markup don't have to match. Without conversion, links and emphasis turn into junk characters.
- Albums and videos. A post with several photos arrives in Telegram in parts; you have to reassemble them into one post, otherwise MAX gets three separate publications.
- Silent failures. The most unpleasant breakdown is when the setup simply stops working and you find out a week later. Add a notification to yourself about errors.
- Platform rules. MAX sets the limits on sending frequency and the requirements for bots, so check its documentation.
We explained why such setups break and when it's easier to switch to a ready-made service, using Telegram as an example, in the article autoposting via n8n. The logic is the same for MAX.
Why start with VK while MAX isn't connected
Often the request "cross-posting to MAX" hides a broader goal: "I want my feed to be seen beyond Telegram." For that goal, VK already covers most of the path automatically:
- posts go out on a schedule without manual copying;
- the text is adapted for the platform rather than duplicated word for word;
- you can run MAX manually using the checklist above until automation becomes available.
An important VK limitation in our service: only text and photos are published, without video. If videos on VK are critical for you, they currently have to be uploaded by hand. For other issues that trip up media publishing on VK, see the article publishing media on VK without silent failures.
What Telematic does and what it doesn't do yet
Limitations first, then capabilities.
What's missing:
- MAX is not supported, either as a publishing platform or as a source;
- there is no Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Threads or Pinterest;
- on VK, only text and photos, no video;
- there is no exact publishing minute: you set an interval and a window of hours.
What's available: cross-posting to Telegram, VK and YouTube:
- for each platform the service creates its own version of the post, not a copy;
- each platform has its own schedule: an interval from 5 minutes to 30 days, a window of hours, a daily limit;
- you can turn on manual approval and review each post before it goes out;
- the first comment can be set for Telegram and YouTube.
What it costs. Payment is by tokens, 1 token = 1 β½, no subscription. A Telegram post β 7 β½: collecting from a site or RSS costs 5 β½, the platform-specific version 1 β½, publication 1 β½. Each additional platform adds about 2 β½ per post for another version and publication. A month of a Telegram channel with 30 posts costs 120 to 420 β½; duplicating those 30 posts on VK adds roughly another 60 β½. Registration gives you 50 tokens, enough to test a couple of posts.
What remains up to you: setting up sources and tone, reviewing the first posts, and checking the feed once a week. And, for now, manually moving the posts you want to MAX.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a ready-made service for autoposting from Telegram to MAX?
In Telematic, no, because MAX is not supported. If you find another tool, check the MAX documentation for which actions bots are allowed to take in channels, and how the service protects against duplicates.
Can you use posts from a MAX channel as a source?
Not in Telematic. Sources can be websites, RSS feeds and public Telegram channels; private Telegram channels are not supported either.
What should I choose for a second platform: VK or MAX?
If you need automation today, choose VK: posts go out on a schedule with their own text versions. You can run MAX manually in parallel.
How much does it cost to duplicate Telegram posts on VK?
About 2 β½ per post on top of the cost of the post itself: the VK version costs 1 β½, publication 1 β½.
Where to start
If you need a second platform now, look at how cross-posting to Telegram, VK and YouTube works. It shows which post versions are produced for each platform and how the schedule is configured.
